That's an interesting post from Rav Brody. I had heard the banana farm story from a friend who heard it at the Agudah convention; I was not aware of the machinations to prevent "shomrei shemittah" from importing vegetables, and the decimation of that plot by dint of decimation of Israeli-grown produce.
I like R' Brody's "samech mem" and "Gog". He's shtark where it counts.
